International Day of Peace
Every year, the United Nations marks the International Day of Peace on 21 September.
It was such an honor to be a part of Peace One Day Live, not only by being a speaker but also by creating broadcasting from Poland!

Peace Day Live connected thought leaders, actors, and musicians to raise awareness of Peace Day, 21 September, and manifest action towards a more peaceful and sustainable world on a global scale.
Throughout the years, millions of people have been active on Peace Day in every country of the world, and hundreds of organizations have carried out life-saving activities in areas of conflict.
I was delighted to give an interview to Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley and to host a 30-minute broadcast as part of Peace One Day Live, as part of the celebration of the International Day of Peace established by the UN General Assembly.
During the broadcasting, special guests gave their speeches. Among them, there was a Hero from the II WW Mr. Juliusz Kulesza pseudonym “Julek”, a Veteran of the Warsaw Uprising. Who understands the value of peace better than those who experience war as young people?
There was also a concert by the music band Yarova, who created a special song “No War”.
In the studio, there were also Polish and Ukrainian children and students from 2 to 16 years old. There was also a presentation of the paintings of children from all over the world, especially Ukraine, created in the frames of the contest “Children Painting Peace on Earth”.
Due to the Peace One Day’s efforts, a General Assembly resolution was unanimously adopted by UN member states, establishing 21 September as an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on the UN International Day of Peace – Peace Day.

In 2016, after several years of work with global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, it was estimated that 2.2 billion people had been exposed to the Peace Day message, that 940 million were aware of the day, and that 16 million behaved more peacefully as a result.
Each year the International Day of Peace (IDP) is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Never has our world needed peace more.
