Sixty-Nine Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations

#WomenPower

It was an honor for me to take an active part in the sixty-nine session of the Commission on the Status of Women United Nations. Today our parallel event will take place during the CSW forum assisting the Commission on the Status of Women. My mission as an International Peace Ambassador and initiator of the global One Mine One Life Campaign and Movement for a Mine-Free World is raising awareness about landmines, successful demining action, and support for landmine victims.
While traveling around the world, I met many brave, wonderful women who dedicated their lives to clearing the world from landmines, I met hundreds of deminers, landmine victims and their families, humanitarians, and quiet heroes, making this world a better place. With some of them, we were on the minefield, with some, we led mine risk awareness, and many simply wanted to be listened to. They shared their stories with me.
That obligated me to be their voice and to tell this story over and over again. Until the world will be #minefree. I saw the incredible wisdom and strength of Cambodian women. Around the globe, I’ve learned about the power of women’s solidarity, alliances, and partnerships.

At the moment, I’m preparing for our documentary, which will raise global awareness about landmines and show the beauty of magical, majestic Cambodia. The story of the Ancient Kingdom of Cambodia, which went from being a Place of wonders to a Genocide leaving the Kingdom littered with land mines and Skulls and Bones by the Khmer Rouge. A journey through time showcasing the 70s until now in the year 2025.
