Veterans Day of Operations Outside the Borders of the State

Today, Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha had the honor of taking part in the Veterans Day of Operations Outside the Borders of the State — a day dedicated to soldiers, officers, rescuers, and civilian employees who have served in military, peacekeeping, and humanitarian missions abroad.
It is a day of recognition, remembrance, and deep respect for the thousands of individuals who have represented Poland on the international stage, often far from their families and in challenging and dangerous conditions.
Thank you for your service.
As an International Peace Ambassador, Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha remains committed to supporting veterans’ initiatives and raising awareness about the vital work of peacekeepers around the world.
Their presence helps maintain stability, protect civilians, and pave the way for lasting peace in regions affected by conflict. Their service is a quiet force for hope.
On her humanitarian path, she had worked alongside many UN Peacekeepers in different regions.
Their knowledge and experience were invaluable especially for her work in the field of humanitarian assistance, raising awareness about landmines and demining action.
It was especially moving that the UNTAC mission in Cambodia was mentioned today — a mission close her my heart.
Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha was deeply honored to have received the Star of Cambodia medal from the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia, in recognition of long-standing humanitarian advocacy and support for Cambodia, including efforts toward demining action.
