Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha was recognized as an Inspiring Humanitarian

Peace Ambassador Her Serene Highness Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha received the Inspiring Humanitarian Award from World Humanitarian Drive – International NGO founded in Croydon, the U.K. by British Indian Global Peace activist, Entrepreneur, Writer, Dr Abdul Basit Syed.  

The primary vision of WHD is to promote Peace, Education and Trade Harmony initiatives globally. World Humanitarian Drive initiated Moral Education Days, which will be celebrated every year around the globe, reminding how important it is to maintain peace.

This award is given in recognition for various contributions to make a difference by going beyond responsibility and moral obligation for the upliftment of the society, to serve humanity.

Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha is the International Peace Ambassador, internationally recognized philanthropist and humanitarian, Forbes 30 under 30.

She continues the work of Princess Diana, supports poorest people and children, travells to dangerous places where people live in a hard conditions and is the voice for those who don’t have any.

From many years Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha is the worldwide known anti-landmine activist. During her 8 months visit to Cambodia, visits to Africa and in the minefield, she draw the eyes of the world to the problem of anti-personnel mines.

She is also a Patron of Landmine Relief Fund, Cambodia Landmine Museum, Cambodian Self Help Demining.

World Humanitarian Drive, which awarded Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha, organised

World Humanitarian Drive and APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation hosted a Global webinar session “Liveable Planet Earth – Working Together for a Peaceful World” on October 2020.

The event was organised with the help of Croydon’s interfaith humanitarian organisation World Humanitarian Drive (WHD), and saw religious leaders from the borough join Croydon school students in a video conference with the Dalai Lama, the Buddhist spiritual leader of Tibet counted among the most renowned religious figures in the world.

The Chief Guest, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, enlightened the audience on the significance of a peaceful world. Global participants, included students from Croydon. Millions of people around the world watched this event with excitement and were inspired by the spiritual wisdom of HH. Dalai Lama, style of answering. In total 8 questions were posted by students from different countries. The students and their parents thanked World Humanitarian Drive for offering this once in a lifetime opportunity for Croydon children to be on a world stage and speaking to a well-respected World Leader.

WHD continues to take more efforts in working towards peace around the world. By campaigning globally through events such as this, it urges the United Nations to declare 2nd of September the end date of WW2 as “World Moral Day”.

World Humanitarian Drive has made considerable strides to achieve the goal and collaborate with various World Leaders, Governments, and Organisations across the world. WHD’s partnership organisation “Universal Peace Federation” holds a General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It is the highest status granted to a non-governmental organisation (NGO’s), which allows them to facilitate with the United Nations.

The main goals of the Organisations are:

Promoting unity, Understanding peace holistically, Embracing the beliefs of diverse cultures to develop social inclusion

Promoting the Right to Education to empower the knowledge of rights and duties for a better world.

Promoting and supporting global trade interdependence for peaceful co-existence between nations.
