The inspiration for the creation of
Thursday Conversations was Thursday
Dinners, organized on the model of
Parisian literary salons.
During the Thursday Dinners, art,
literature, philosophy, culture, and the
most important contemporary social
issues were discussed.
King Stanisław August Poniatowski,
during his stay in Paris in 1753,
participated in Parisian literary salons,
getting to know the intellectual elite of
Europe, as well as the art of discussion
and rhetoric.
Thursday Dinners were undoubtedly of
great importance for building a
modern, educated and conscious
society.
